If you notice any suspicious & unauthorized activity in your account, you can request for temporary freezing of account by writing an email to [email protected]. The following are the steps to freeze the account :
Phone OTP Validation: We will send a one-time password (OTP) to your registered mobile number to verify your identity.
Blocking of account : Post verification & confirmation we will block your account within 15 minutes.
Open Order Cancellation: All open orders on your account will be cancelled for security reasons. You will need to resubmit any valid orders.
Close Positions (Optional) : As an additional precaution, you may choose to close any open positions on your account. This is not mandatory but will further secure your assets.
Logout from All Devices ( optional ) : For your protection, please log out of all devices associated with your Emint account. You will need to log back in with your new password.
As per regulation we need to block your account within 15 minutes of receiving your request. Please facilitate the same with your prompt & timely actions. Emint is not responsible for loss due to delay in taking action from your side.
If you wish to unfreeze the account, you need to first call our customer care to place a request. After this, the following steps have to be undertaken :
Email acknowledgement: User will receive an email regarding unblocking which the user needs to acknowledge & approve.
OTP verification : User will receive an OTP to verify identity. On confirmation the customer support team will unblock the account.
Password & PIN reset : The user will have to set a new account password & PIN.
Login : User will have to login with new password and PIN and resume investing.
